Q. Can you tell me something about sheik Husary his reading method. I ask as follow up to you r topic on maqam
Answer: Both were amongst the best Qurra to have emerged from the Egypt. Both were renowned for the qirat linked to precision is observing the rules of tajweed. The former was also a practicing specialist and more renounced for hardar and tarteel mode of recitation (a pace which is not too fast and yet not necessarily extremely slow.) ) His tune is simple yet remains greatly tranquil due to its obvious sincerity. His recital style brings forth inflections which is superbly reflective of his supreme tajweed skills and mastery of it.
The latter had been more famous for his qirat recital and lived more within the modern era (up to the 1990’s). He also has recordings of slower recital of the entire quran as well.
As agreed by many in modern times, Qirat supreme would remain Shiek Abdul Basit, whilst Sheik kalil Al-khusri and his student sheik Manshawe paved the way for their mastery in the aspect of tarteel and hardar.
All should be listened without prejudice. They all inspired millions to excel in their recitals.
May Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) shower his blessing upon them for the legacy they have left behind.
Again, we are not a historical site, but we are always happy to help out wherever we can. We hope we shared insight for those seeking to emulate patterns of these great men.
Allah Certainly Knows Best
