Q. Many woman have the fear of Menstruating during the Hajj, what do we do in such a situation?
A. Many woman overreact to this situation. When a woman begins menstruating during the days of hajj, she must continue doing all the actions of hajj except the Tawaaf (going around) of the Kabaa and Sa’ee (which is to run between mount Safa and Marwa. Going around the Kaba and accomplishing the Sa’ee are those actions that can only be done when one is in the state of purity. (That means that she must have had a bath after her menses before these actions can be rightfully completed.) During this time, you must refrain from entering the Haram or reading from the Qur’aan, but do continue to make ibaadah in the forms of dhikr and du’aa.
Allah certainly knows best.
