Q: Due to heat my lips crack and bleed.  My nose also gets very dry and it sometimes bleeds. Can i use chap stick? Can i use a cream on my nose?

A: If the chap-stick does not go into your mouth or down your throat and into your stomach, you can use it.

Likewise, if the cream used on your nose would not go down your throat and thus into your stomach, you can use it as well.
