Q: As-salaam-alaikum. I know that a female cannot marry anyone that is not Muslim in Nikah but, can a male marry a LDS female? The LDS say they are Christians but, they follow their own Book of Mormon and their own man-made Prophets, so is this allowed for a Muslim man? Otherwise, she must convert, yes, to Islam before marrying in Nikah with him? I have been confused about his for a long time.
Thank you .

A: ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????
- A woman cannot marry a nonMuslim.
- We have certain ‘muslim’ groups that also claim to have a living prophet, such groups are not viewed as Muslims. Christianity also deals with such issues between those that scribe to it. This matter relates to belief, not mere similarity in values between faiths. Lets not get emotional on this topic and blur or spiritual insight and religious understanding.
- A woman/manshould marry that which is part of her/is faith. S/he should marry that caliber of wo/man that would promote and enhance belief in Allah (SWT) and every aspect of faith. This advice is for people that are part of the faith as well as out of the faith. We have many good woman and men that await good partners.

We appreciate the question, we also appreciate bringing clarity to this matter.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
