Q: Assalaam O Alaikum,
I wear gold anklet which does not make any sound while I walk.  Is it allowed to wear it?

And (let woman not) stamp their feet so as to reveal what they conceal of their adornment. And turn unto Allah in unison, O believers, in order that you may succeed.

  • Anything that functions as an attractant towards strange men is forbidden. Wearing attractants whilst enticing strangers would function as ‘assisting towards evil’ which the Quran and sunnah prohibits.
  • A woman can wear anklets in front of non-strangers, — husband, etc.
  • If worn in public, it should be worn in a manner that does not attract attention and should be worn inside ones boots, inside sock and/or pant area to fulfill the criteria of not being a spectacle as well as not creating unwanted sounds/attention.
