Q: asalamwalaikum….i want to ask that is covering our face with naqab is compulsary or can we jst wear a scarf?????without naqab…plz reply me

Under general circumstances, niqab is wajib for a young attractive woman that has in her the ability to entice men or is inclined towards haram herself. For such a woman to not wear it would be a sin — for her action of not doing so is promoting sin.

Under general conditions, a scarf that is properly draped would also suffice for elderly woman.
