Quick and random question: is it a sin if one was listening to the Qur’an on their iPod in the bathroom? I wasn’t answering the call of nature, just taking out my contacts.

To do so intentionally  would be opposed to adab (etiquettes) of the Quran. Be more conscientious of what you doing, more-so when reading/listening to the Quran.
