Q. Can Jibrael give the Quran to the wrong person, like Mohammad instead of Ali?

A1. It is respectful to say sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam after the name of Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). To not do so is to be a miserly person. (Hadeeth) As with sahaba, you are welcome to say, RadiAllaahu ta’ala ‘anh . Angels would gain the title of Alay-hissalaam!

A2. Angels act according to the Will of Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala). Angles do as they told. For them to do otherwise would be an act of disobedience. Thus, shaytan is said to be from amongst a group other then Malaikah (angels).

If a mistake was made by an angel, Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) would have made the angel retract from the error. Thus, this argument is baseless and tantamount to ignorance as to the understanding and functioning’s of angels and prophets. May we be saved from such erroneous ill informed knowledge of our religion.
