My elder sister took care of me. Now she is married and i take care of my younger sister. my thing is this.  can i wash her when she needs to be washed or when my mom tell me to. you said something about awrah in the khutba. my q is from that topic khutba. If a non-parent has to wash a child, then it would be best for a woman  (prefarably a caring female family member) to wash your sister. Should this impossible, then note the following:

If the your sister is four or younger, you would be able to wash her. If she is above the age of four, then she must have something on her body, eg: shorts whilst being washed. She should not have herself fully exposed to you if she is above the age of four. Upon her reaching the Islamic age of seven, it would not be Islamically appropriate for you to bath/wash her.
