One should not pray salah whilst the sun is at its zenith point – be it a few moments before or after the sun has passed this point. There has not been a specific waiting period. It varies depending on the geographic location. Approximately 4 to 5 minutes before and (4 to 5 minutes) after the sun has passed the meridian remains an appropriate wait time. All other acts of worship can be continually performed during these timings.
