Many things are not written in the Quran. Example, you must come to ‘America,’ study medicine at Harvard, 2.5% zakat, the exact timings of particular salah, sit on a table and chair as we attend school, go for yearly dental checkups, etc. These rules are derived from ayah of the Quran in conjunction with the hadith and sunnah. To deny this fact can lead to disbelief (kufr).
Quran states: Say to the People oh Muhammad: If you love Allah (SAW) then follow me (SAW). There was no person more pure then a prophet, yet as a habit or lifestyle, you would not see any prophet going and shaking the hands of a strange woman. As for the aspect of handshake, the Quran states: Do not even get close to adultery (zina.) Lower your gaze, protect your organs from wrong, etc, etc.
We thank you for your question. Kindly resend if we remain unclear.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
(Type in key word: handshake, zina, etc.)
