can we describe Allah in human terms?

Q: Asalmalkium, imam

I was Listening to a lecture by a well-known scholar Sheikh (xxxx) Muhammad an it mentions that Allah(SWT) Has a beautiful face, a finger(s), Has Two hands, and both are right, also has a shin, and a foot.

Is it true that Allah has body parts? Because he quotes hadiths. such as ( SAHIH BUKHARI Vol 6 book 60 #373)?  AL-Qalam{68] :42 reffering to tasfeer?

A: ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

In answer your question: Is it true that Allah has body parts?

Allah  states clearly: (There is) nothing in the likes of His likeness (ayah).

In all fairness to the the author, we have have not heard his claim from him.We appreciate you sending us the link, however, our time and priorities does not permit us to look up and listen to what he has said. Our sincere apologies.

However, in line with our quoted ayah (paraphrased), to give Allah any human feature would not be correct. When Allah articulates a feature, it is not to be defined in human terms. Only Allah knows what His Features remain to be. For us to speculate or delve in the Absolute unknown even out of love for Allah (swt) is not always in our best interest.

For lay people do be discussing such matters functions as partial futility. Scholars discussing it in an appropriate context are fine to do so; however, these discussions should remain within the group so as to bring forth clarity via a question/answer session once the lecture is over.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
