Yes, you can sacrifice for the Prophet (SAW).

*Absolutely yes. You can do for all those that have passed away. Prophets (peace upon them all), sahaba, major and genuine great Imaams,  grandparents, teachers, etc. If the person is living, then only you would need their consent prior to sacrificing an animal of their behalf.
