A. The fact that you have referred to him as Imaam, to us this means that you still have hope in some of his abilities. InshaAllah, you referring to him as imaam and your positive thoughts towards him would help him in maintaining and  attaining his sanity back, Ameen.

You also started your comment with making dua for his soul. We are positive that your sincerity in making dua for him would make him a much better person.
