Q: I make a modest income. I pay my zakaah. I also take out from every paychech sadaqa money to help out poor people. My aunt is sick. Can i give her from this sadaqah money? She has gold but is poor. Do i tell her it is sadaqah. It is for her hospital. Can i pay the hosptial bill for her and not have her know that i paid it from this sadaqah. Thank you.

We learn from the hadith, giving sadaqa extinguishes the anger of Allah (SWT). It also helps in distancing possible evil that can often come around us.

You can give nafl sadaqa to your aunt, you can pay the bill for her as well, you do not need to tell her it is nafl Sadaqa.
