Q: i found out my husband is using drugs and sometimes he drinks, he is surrounded with bad friends, and i found messages in his and Facebook to/from women. i try to have sabr with him and help him be better but i failed and now i have zero sabr because he says sorry and pray for couple days and after that he is back to the samething..and he have no respect for me …i asked him for divorce couple times but he didnt ..is there other way i could be divorced?

A: Although you have a right to seek divorce, i would recommend that you both go to counseling in an attempt to resolve your issues.

Many details are lacking, therefore it would not be fair for me to give you a response on how to go about getting a divorce. Divorce is a serious issue, and we should treat it as such. I do understand the pain you are going through, but it must not happen that we place you in larger problem with our immediate-shared response.

Should counseling not prove successful,  go to your local mufti and ask them to assist you on how to proceed with attaining a divorce.
