both parties need better knowledge

Q: by mistake I read a surah in the 3rd and 4th rakat of my fard salah.  I did not make sajdah sahw.  When I asked the people what to do they made me repeat my salah.  The musjid officials had a meeting to take me out of ever performing salah.  So im removed from ever being an imaam even when just a few brothers who don’t even know quran.  My question is this, can managment remove me from voluntarily performing salah for making them repeat a salah?

A: The officials are sadly ignorant in attempting to resolve this matter, making alive the Hadith, ignorant people would want to rule (dominate) musjids on matters of deen (religion) while not being able to do justice to the basics of religion. Additionally, we see a trend in people that lack knowledge yet they wish to impose themselves as ‘imaams’ and are highly offended when their ‘position’ is snatched   Merely speaking or learning a few words of arabic or having memorized a few surahs or being able to quote a fatwa from google does not qualify a person to be an ‘imaam.’  Thus, both parties need to gain better insight to the aspects of salah and deen.

There was no need for a sajdah sahw. To mistakenly read a sajdah sahw would also not be a problem.  Likewise, to mistakenly read a surah in the 3rd and 4th rakat does not necessitate a sajdah sahw, nor does such a sajdah sahw invalidate the salah. One must not purposely read a surah in the 3rd and 4th rakat of a fard salah.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
